Ryan Corner Wind Farm Background The Ryan Corner Wind Farm site is located in South-Western Victoria, 16.5km north-west of Port Fairy within the Moyne Shire. GPG Naturgy Group The wind farm comprises 52 turbines with a total output of approximately 218.4MW. It will connect to the grid via a 132kV overhead transmission circuit to the existing 500kV Tarrone Terminal Station. All permits and management plans have been endorsed for the wind farm, the Tarrone North terminal station and the connecting transmission line. Construction Update The construction commenced for the wind farm in July, the terminal station in August and the transmission line in October.Civil construction on the wind farm site is moving along but is being hampered by the very wet weather conditions. The site office is operational, and all contractors have designated offices and communal amenities on site. The upgrade of Youls Road and the Princes Highway to allow for the delivery of the turbine components has been completed. The internal spine road that links the east and west entrances of the wind farm is completed for construction vehicles. Mobile crushers are working alongside the excavators as the access tracks and roads are built. Excavations have commenced on twelve turbine locations and hardstands. The on-site batch plant is operating and provides the concrete for the foundations. Both the on-site quarry and batch plant keep the number of vehicles on the local roads to a minimum. Weekly construction updates along with the monthly newsletter can be found on the website https://ryancornerwindfarm.globalpower-generation.com.au. Community Engagement and Benefit Sharing The Ryan Corner Community Engagement Committee meets six weekly and is composed of community members, Moyne Shire councillors and representatives from GPG. The Community Engagement and Benefit Sharing Plan associated to the project includes a Neighbour Benefit Sharing Program to ensure the financial benefits of the proposed project will be shared with those closest to the wind farm. Additionally, a Community Grant Program will provide funding to develop or implement local community projects or initiatives in the area. Other initiatives include sponsorships, a local school program, etc. Free Call: 1800 457 181 Email: ryancornerwindfarm@globalpower-generation.com.au Website: https://ryancornerwindfarm.globalpower-generation.com.au Mail: Ryan Corner Development Pty Ltd, Suite A, Level 3, 73 Northbourne Avenue, Canberra ACT 2601 VR4790600 Ryan Corner Wind Farm Background The Ryan Corner Wind Farm site is located in South - Western Victoria , 16.5km north - west of Port Fairy within the Moyne Shire .
