Southern Stay Disability Services Inc is the amalgamated organization resulting from the merger of STAY Residential Services Inc (Hamilton) and Southern Way Direct Care Services Inc. (Warrnambool). The merger of the two agencies took place at a special general meetings of agency members on September 13th 2017. Our Vision - To enrich the lives of people with a disability by promoting choice, inclusion and achievement. Since its establishment in 1982, STAY Residential Services (STAY) has provided support services for people with intellectual disabilities in the Hamilton region. During this time, the organisation has evolved to provide residential options, including respite and day programs, focusing on the health, behavioural, developmental and emotional needs of all clients. As of September 2017 services were provided to over 116 people by a work force of 72 staff. Gross operating expenditure was $3.4 million p.a. Since 1990 Southern Way Direct Care Service Inc. has been a trusted, local, non-government, not for profit, charitable organization that provides high quality support, accommodation, life skills training and community access to people with disabilities primarily in Warrnambool as well as the South West region of Victoria. As of September 2017 services were provided to over 150 people by a work force of 80 staff. Gross operating expenditure was $4.6 million p.a.
