About

Yarram Park is one of Victoria’s largest working sheep and cattle stations and has remained in the hands of the Baillieu family since 1948. Originally called “Yarram Yarram”, the property was pioneered from 1844 to 1852 by Robert Muirhead and Edward Parker. They held the title of 12,900 hectares until forced to relinquish it in 1860 by the government proclamation. Today Yarram Park runs 26,000 sheep for prime lamb and wool production, 1,500 cattle including the 68 year old Yarram Park Hereford Stud, and grows 600 hectares of oil seed and cereal crops. Yarram Park is now run as an intensive commercial business with 7 full-time staff.
